Interning With The: #SircleSquad?

11816827_626888337414923_3109429565337765750_n
Sircle Media is built on a foundation of incredible employees and interns.  We affectionately refer to this group as The #SircleSquad and we genuinely feel like a family.  We all go to work each week and we believe it is mission critical to love the environment and to engage with and be inspired by your coworkers. So much time is spent in “the office” so it means everything to enjoy the company of those around you.

When you are motivated to come in and see your 2nd family each day, you work harder, create better and are just in the right mindset to crush it at your job.  This is so important when you work in a service business as we do.  The right culture readily does pave the way for the right work product.

Here is a little video our interns put together from ideation, to production/editing and even the starring roles.  Want to join this crazy team?  Contact us and throw your hat in the ring.

Social Media Intern: Meet Victoria Karatza

VictoriaKaratza

Name: Victoria Karatza
Hometown: Flint, Michigan
College & year: Pace University, sophomore
What are three things you like about social media? I like how easy it is to find information about what is going on around the world, the fact that I can stay in touch with my friends and family back home, and how people use it as a tool to share ideas and opinions.
What is the one thing that you’re looking forward to most about your internship at Sircle Media? One thing I am looking forward to most about my internship at Sircle Media is the exposure to this type of work environment. It is different from anything I am accustomed to, so I look forward to learning how this whole business works.
If you were on a desert island, what 3 things could you not be without? I would need to have my record player (with my record collection), pens and notebooks, and an endless supply of fruit snacks.
What’s your guilty pleasure? Buzzfeed. The amount of time I spend on that site taking quizzes and watching random videos is actually embarrassing.
Who is your celebrity crush? Why? James Franco. He just seems so interesting, creative, and strange – I love it! Not to mention, despite his recently shaved head, he’s great to look at.
Starbucks? Dunkin Donuts? Or the local coffee shop? I’m a big fan of Dunkin Donuts. Even though I dig the local coffee scene, they closed down all of the Dunkin Donuts by my house back in Michigan, so I usually go to Dunkin while in NYC and the local coffee shop back in Michigan.

Social Media Intern: Meet Nya Thompson

Name: Nya Thompson
Hometown: Brooklyn, NY
College & year: Quinnipiac University (Senior)
What are three things you like about social media?
1. I like that with social media I can stay updated on the latest fashion trends, new music artists, etc.  I find that social media is the best way to stay updated especially when it comes to entertainment news.
2. Another thing I like about social media how interactive it is.  If someone that I follow posts a cute pic of shoes and I want to know the name of the brand, I can always find out by commenting under the pic or asking a question through direct message.
3. Most importantly, another thing I like about social media is the way it can be use to raise awareness.  There are many times when people take to social media to express awareness about important issues in today’s society.  While social change won’t come from simply posting a picture, social media gives a voice to masses of people who might otherwise go unheard.

What is the one thing that you’re looking forward to most about your internship at Sircle Media? The one thing I am looking forward to with Sircle Media is learning about new brands and companies.  In my first week I have already been introduced to companies such as Dean & Davidson Jewelry, ecru, and Nicole Lenzen.  I am also looking forward to learning all the ways and tactics Sircle Media will use help to market these brands to their full potential.

If you were on a desert island, what 3 things could you not be without? If I were on a deserted island three things I could not be without are a compass, a blade, and a photo album of all my friends and family. If I am going to be on this island I am going to need to understand the island and need to navigate my way around it. I will also need a blade for things such as protection, cooking, etc. A blade would make life more convenient. Seeing as though I wouldn’t be able to be with them in person, or bring them all with me to the island, I would like to keep a photo album of all my friends as family.  That way I can always remember them.

What’s your guilty pleasure? My absolute guilty pleasure is molten chocolate lava cake.  The one thing I love better than regular chocolate cake is warm chocolate cake, with hot chocolate sauce oozing out of the center, chocolate syrup drizzled on top, and a sprinkle of confectionary sugar.  I don’t always get to indulge in such goodness, but when I do it is always a delight.

Who is your celebrity crush? Why? I have a few, but my number one celebrity crush would have to be actor Michael Ealy.  His smooth brown skin and gorgeous blue eyes just melt my heart.  Though I knew of him from movies such as Barbershop, I fell in love with his role in Think Like a Man where as a struggling chef, he won the heart of a rich and independent business woman.

Starbucks? Dunkin Donuts? Or the local coffee shop? To be honest I am not a big coffee drinker, but if I had to pick one I would go with Starbucks.  Whenever I have some down time, one of my favorite things to do is read and sip on a nice cup of tea. At Starbucks, not only can I have tea, but I love that I can also find some of the latest bestsellers there as well. Also their Passion Fruit Iced Tea and hot chocolate are my top drinks.
